Bakugo was successful in destroying All For One's physical body. No one can take that victory from him. This villain was pure evil and a symbol of selfishness, and being defeated by someone who was once expected to walk the same path became the one who would finish him.

This victory in My Hero Academia was not just about beating the villain; rather, it was about proving that the new generation of heroes could finish what All Might started. In this episode, we see that the villain ended up rewinding himself to nothingness as a desperate move to reach out to the world.

Meanwhile, Bakugo is shown to be barely standing, raising his hand in victory, echoing All Might’s iconic pose. Before giving all into exhaustion, he wishes for Deku to give it all and symbolically passes the torch to him.

Before we celebrate this victory, we also need to talk about the obstacles Bakugo had to go through. Because there was a point in this show where it was almost established that this character had lost his life. It was because of his luck and Edgeshot's desperate attempt in My Hero Academia to revive him that his heart started to beat again.

In this sort of condition, Bakugo managed to regain consciousness and jumped right back into the battle. The timing is crucial here because had he been a minute late, then chances were that All Might in My Hero Academia could have been murdered by All For One.

Moreover, we also know that his body had not recovered from the injuries he sustained, and yet he continued to attack this villain with all he had. Even when All For One used his biggest attack, Bakugo refused to back down and creatively used his Quirk to make sure his attacks not only land but also cause significant damage to his opponent.

Final thoughts on Bakugo's victory in My Hero Academia

In the end, My Hero Academia makes one thing clear: Bakugo did not just defeat All For One, the ultimate villain of the story; he actually redeemed himself. Not only in the eyes of others but to himself. His story in this series started as a boy driven by jealousy and pride to a hero willing to die for his friends. In the end, Bakugo’s journey is the emotional climax of the series.
