Matthew Atkinson Sighting: Is The Bold and the Beautiful’s Thomas about to pop up again?

When Matthew Atkinson returned to The Bold and the Beautiful as Thomas in early September, we were expecting a big storyline for the prodigal Forrester son. Alas, he seemed to come and go without much fanfare. However, we might still get a good story for Thomas yet, as he was recently spotted on set.

New B&B Co-Executive Producer Casey Kasprzyk took to Instagram to post a photo of himself with Atkinson, simply stating: "Nice to have @jmattatkinson on set this week."

While Kasprzyk did not specify whether Atkinson was just visiting friends and co-workers for the day or whether he was back to tape new scenes as Thomas, we're sure The Bold and the Beautiful fans would love to see Thomas continue his story in Los Angeles.

Will Hope's future with Liam include Thomas?

When Atkinson made his handful of appearances as Thomas in September, fans were shocked that he didn't share any scenes with Annika Noelle's Hope Logan. Thomas left town in March of 2024 after Hope still wouldn't agree to marry him, despite loving him. He returned again a few months later and announced his engagement to Paris Buckingham (Diamond White). He even had Hope's son, Douglas, calling Paris "Mom."

This fall, Thomas told Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) that he had broken things off with Paris after learning that her mother allowed Liam (Scott Clifton) to believe he was dying from brain cancer. However, his main concern was making sure Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) stayed away from his parents. He didn't even utter Hope's name before disappearing again following Ridge's office wedding to Brooke.

At the time, Hope was engaged to Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor), but that is over, and she is now engaged to Liam once again. Hope left Liam in 2023 when she couldn't deny her attraction to Thomas any longer. If Atkinson does return as Thomas, he can be a kink in Hope and Liam's plans for a marital future.

Thomas might also give new designer Deke (Harrison Cone) a run for his money if he returns to the Hope For The Future design team. There's a world of possibilities if Thomas were to move back to Los Angeles for good and we can't wait to see if that's what happens.
