Welcome to Days of our Lives Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

It feels like Days of our Lives' mother-daughter duo of Maggie and Sarah never had a clue about who Xander was. Both women were well aware of all his many crimes before they decided he was really a good guy underneath who needed reforming. In fact, Maggie saw Xander's softer side before Sarah ever did. Just last week, Maggie was telling Xander how much she loved him just before she goaded him into pretty much confessing that he attacked Philip. Since she said she always knew in her gut that he did it, why did things change for her once she confirmed it? If she always knew and was willing to let Xander continue as Titan's CEO, why the change of heart once Xander confessed and expressed his remorse? And Sarah? Her entire reason for not telling Xander the truth about the forged letter was that she knew his temper and feared he would hurt Philip. So, if she already knew what he was capable of, then why act so shocked that he actually did it? Yes, the lying to her face wasn't right, but she lied straight to Xander's face for months earlier this year. While we cannot condone what Xander did to Philip, none of it should be a surprise to these two women. Maggie was married to Victor Kiriakis for heaven's sake, so she should be used to angry, shady men.
