Elio cast and character guide: Meet the voice actors of the Pixar film

Pixar's newly released animated film Elio has a promising cast of voice actors, including Yonas Kibreab, Zoe Saldaña, Remy Edgerly, Brandon Moon, Brad Garrett, and Jameela Jamil, among many others.

Released on June 20, 2025, the film is about a boy who is deeply interested in the cosmos and the extraterrestrial world. 1) Jameela Jamil as Questa

English actor Jameela Jamil lends her voice to the role of Ambassador Questa, an alien who is also a mind reader.

Apart from Jamil's role in this film, her acting credits include The Good Place (2016-2020), She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022), and Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin (2022), among others. She has also voiced characters in Robot Chicken (2019), Star Trek: Prodigy (2021-2024), DC League of Super Pets (2022), etc.

2) Brad Garrett as Lord Grigon

Actor and stand-up comedian Brad Garrett voices the role of Lord Grigon in the film. He is the main villain in the story, who is an authoritarian figure. Interestingly, his son Glordon becomes a friend to Elio.

Brad Garrett has also voiced films, including Mighty Ducks the Movie: The First Face-Off (1996), Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World (1998), Finding Nemo (2003), Garfield the Movie (2004), Porco Rosso (2005), Night at the Museum (2006), Ratatouille (2007), Tangled (2010), and many more.

Remy Edgerly portrays the role of Elio's friend, an alien named Glordon.

5) Zoe Saldaña as Olga Solis

The Academy and Golden Globe-winning actor Zoe Saldaña gives voice to the role of Olga, the aunt of Elio. She is an Orbital analyst and a parental figure to Elio after his parents passed away.

About her character in the film, one of the helmers of the film, Madeline Sharafian, spoke to Entertainment Weekly, stating:

"She brought so much nuance to this character, which I feel like is a bit of a tricky character,"

"People don't always like seeing non-perfect parental figures on screen, but she did this incredible job of threading the needle of vulnerability. You can tell she cares at her core, but she's not perfect when you first meet her."
