David Byrne extends 2025-26 world tour: Presale codes, new dates, venues, and more explored

David Byrne is officially taking his new music across the globe. The singer-songwriter and former Talking Heads frontman has extended his 2025-26 world tour. He has added some new dates in multiple cities like Philadelphia, Chicago, San Francisco, and Luxembourg.

The tour has been designed to support his upcoming album Who Is the Sky?, which is David Byrne's return to solo work after a seven-year hiatus. Byrne's new tour will begin on September 14, 2025, in Providence, Rhode Island, and run into 2026 as the trek covers North America, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe.

The run-schedule has more than 70 shows across three continents. The live performances will feature a 13-piece band of musicians, dancers, and vocalists. David Byrne will continue the mobile stage format that earned acclaim during his last run.

The tour announcement also follows the release of She Explains Things to Me, the second single from Who Is the Sky?. The album is officially slated to be released on September 5, 2025, via Matador Records.

David Byrne's new track is reportedly inspired in part by Rebecca Solnit's essay collection Men Explain Things to Me. It reflects David Byrne's take on gender and communication. It follows the earlier single Everybody Laughs. Listen to She Explains Things to Me below:
