The festival has had some major issues with traffic management in the first weekend, leaving many to complain about it on both news media and social media. The festival has received criticisms for lack of drinking facilities, 10 to 12 hour queues and lack of bathroom facilities during the festival's opening.

The festival is being organised by Goldenvoice, which also manages festivals such as Stagecoach and Cruel World. There has not been any response to the criticisms leveled at the management of Coachella 2025 as of the writing of this article. The festival has been compared to the infamous Fyre Festival.
