Jens Lekman 2025 North American tour: Dates, venues, and more explored

Swedish indie pop singer-songwriter Jens Lekman is officially returning to the road this fall with a brand-new studio album and a North American tour.

After an eight-year hiatus from full-length solo releases, Jens Lekman has announced Songs for Other People's Weddings. This concept album is officially slated to be released on September 12, 2025, via Secretly Canadian. The album will be paired with a novel of the same name. It is co-written with author David Levithan (Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist), which is scheduled for release on August 5, 2025.

To support the album, Jens Lekman will hit the road across North America starting November 8, 2025. The tour will include stops in multiple cities such as Minneapolis, Toronto, Brooklyn, Austin, Los Angeles, and Seattle, with one Canadian date in Toronto. No supporting acts have been confirmed as of now.

Jens Lekman took to his official Instagram handle to share the 2025 tour announcement, captioning:

"On September 12th I am releasing a new album called Songs for Other People's Weddings. It's a companion album to a novel of the same name by my old friend David Levithan — out August 5 and available to pre-order now. The first single, Candy From A Stranger, is out today alongside a music video by Rena Johnson featuring a collage of footage from weddings I have performed at over the years."

The post continued:

Jens Lekman's last solo studio album was Life Will See You Now. It was released in 2017. He followed that with Correspondence, a 2019 collaborative project with Swedish singer Annika Norlin. In 2022, he reissued updated versions of Oh You're So Silent Jens and Night Falls Over Kortedala to comply with licensing issues.
