"Need someone who is available year-round": Born of Osiris open auditions for new guitarist following Lee McKinney's exit

American progressive metalcore band Born of Osiris has announced open auditions for a new touring guitarist after their split from bandmate Lee McKinney.

The news arrives days after the official announcement of McKinney's departure. Scott Carstairs of Fallujah and Entheos is currently filling in on guitar for their ongoing European tour. However, Born of Osiris is seeking a "year-round" guitarist for all future touring commitments.

The group is currently in the middle of their 2025 European and Canadian tour. Their upcoming album Through Shadows is officially slated for release on July 11, 2025. Despite McKinney's exit, Born of Osiris has confirmed that no shows will be canceled.

Born of Osiris shared the audition call via their official Instagram profile. The post read:

"We are looking for a fill-in touring guitarist and will be holding open auditions for the position. Requirements: -Must be 21+ -Must have extensive touring experience -Must be committed to making Born of Osiris your number one priority. We tour heavily and need someone who is available year-round -US-based candidates are strongly preferred."

It continued:

"Serious applicants please email: [email protected] Include your full name, age, city of residence, links to your social media accounts, and a list of all your touring experience."
