Taylor Swift has announced her new album, Life Of A Showgirl. The twelfth album of her career (16th with the Taylor's Version edition of four of her albums), the singer announced the album via her official website as well as on the New Heights podcast teaser, and it is currently available for pre-order from her official website.

While no official release date has been announced, easter eggs have already been discovered by fans online, as elaborated upon in the following paragraphs. The first easter eggs comes from the podcast New Heights, where a new T.S. logo is seen behind the singer.

The singer also stated to her fans in her Eras Tour retrospective that she will see them in the next era. In January 2025, Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift's boyfriend, talked about her writing new songs in an interview. Subsequently, at the 2025 Grammy Awards, the singer wore earings that had 12 stones. Another easter egg has been about the fan account, Taylor Nation's post featuring the singer in 12 orange outfits, with the last one being a photo of Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift. Sabrina Carpenter also has August 12, 2025 on her website, and fans have speculated it might be an easter egg for a possible Carpenter feature on Life Of A Showgirl:

Taylor Swift past eras explored

Taylor Swift has so far 12 eras, each reflecting the album that was released in that era. The first is Swift's self titled debut in 2006, which is her country era. The singer released the album when she was still in high school and she fully embraced the country aesthetics with cowboy boots, sundresses and tight curls.

This was followed by her Fearless era, an era marked by her establishment as a crossover artists, with her lucky number 13 donned on her right hand, sparkly gowns, teenage romanticism, winged eyeliner and songs such as You Belong With Me. This is the era when the singer started gaining prominence as a global artist.

Speak Now was Taylor Swift's next album and era and this was the album in which she wrote all the songs solely by herself. This era was marked by theatrical and sweeping music, and looks that blended at times with her country roots and at times emphasised a more modern glam look. This era also conitnued with the trend of sparkly dresses.

The Red era, marked by the album Red, is as the name suggests, dominated by the color red. Straight hair, red lipstick, black fedoras, and the completion of Taylor Swift's transition from country music to pop music.

1989 era saw another transition in her style and music. Gone were the dresses and in came the crop tops and skater skirts, complimenting her bob cut hair. 1989 the album and the era began her dominance as the global pop phenomenon, with the album earning three Grammy Awards after its release.

Reputation era was the 'moody' era. Snake motifs, glam bodysuits, dark lipstick, high heeled boots, all emphasising a grunge-esque aesthetics. The sounds were darker too, a mix of electronic and pop sounds, with the singer declaring the death of her 'good girl' image in the track of the album, Look What You Made Me Do. The album and the era came after her feud with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian.

Lover was the rainbow era. Butterflies, pastel shades, pastel color clothing, mostly in the form of blues and purples. The album and the era was tinged with optimism and brightness.

Folklore. Another era that says it all in the name. Released at the height of the Covid 19 Pandemic, the album and the era is all folksongs and folklore. Cottage core aesthetics, and autumn themes dominated this era, with the album going on to win the Album of the Year award at the 2021 Grammy Eras with its piano and strings based ballads.

Evermore is folklore but winter. In both its songs and its aesthetics, the era is dominated by cottage core aesthetics and mysticism, with fans considering it to be a continuation of the Folklore era.

Midnights is the retrospective era. Soft pop music, a return to her autobiographical lyrics and a collaboration with Lana Del Rey marked Taylor Swift's return to more mainstream pop music, after her folklore detours.

The Tortured Poets Department era is female rage. The album came after the end of her relationship with Matty Healy and Joe Alwyn. The songs featured a mix of tracks reflecting on her past relationship and tracks which reflected on her identity as a public figure, among other themes.

In addition to these, Taylor Swift's re-recordings of four of her album into Taylor's Version editions could also be marked as another era, one in which she reclaimed her music. An era which ended when she bought back her masters from Shamrock in May 2025.
