Viagra Boys drop 'viagr aboys' – Their first new album in 3 years

Swedish art-punks Viagra Boys are officially back. After a three-year break since their last full-length release, the band has dropped their fourth studio album, viagr aboys.

The album was officially released on April 25, 2025, through their own newly launched label, Shrimptech Enterprises. According to reports, the Stockholm-based group is mainly known for its political satire, punk grooves, and more.

The album relatively signals a subtle shift in the band's focus. 2022's Cave World talked about conspiracy theories and more. However, viagr aboys seemingly looks inward.

Consequence of Sound reports that, talking about the title of the latest album, the band's vocalist Sebastian Murphy stated that it is

"like a self-titled album but a bit simple and stupid — because that's how I am."

Earlier this year, Viagra Boys shared a teaser post for the album on their official Instagram page. The post read:

"'viagr aboys' — the new album by Viagra Boys. out april 25th on Shrimptech Enterprises. pre save & pre order the lp now thru the link in bio. featuring art by @leoparkpictures & design by @cul_de_sac_studio"

In a more recent post after the album was officially dropped, Viagra Boys wrote:

"They said it was impossible, but yet here we are. viagr aboys, the new album by viagra boys. brought to you by shrimptech enterprises. available everywhere, everytime, now"

The new album viagr aboys is reportedly spelled that way to dodge spam filters. It features 11 tracks. The opening track of the album is Man Made of Meat. In the track, vocalist Sebastian Murphy belches into the mic while shouting about goblins and electric motor factories.

Viagra Boys have also hit the road again to accompany the brand-new album. They returned to Coachella earlier this month and announced a run of 2025 tour dates across Europe and North America.
