Cookinwithkya is clearing the air about rumors that she's struggling financially.

A post from an account using her name on Facebook went viral this week, claiming that the content creator has gone from doing well online to struggling financially.

"I went from making so much money to struggling in every way and I just hate that, the truth is we're all 1-3 missed paychecks away from severe financial hardship. This s*it is unreal for me," the post read.

However, the content creator has since refuted these claims on TikTok. She shared a video of herself mocking the rumors with the caption:

"First yall say I went to Dubai to get pooped on and now there's a fake facebook with 300k who started a go fund me scamming people. I can't catch a break huh."

When a fan directly asked her if she was "struggling," she confirmed she wasn't: "Not at all."

Cookinwithkya also shared a screenshot of the post on her Instagram Stories, emphasizing that the account is simply posing as her and that the claims are fabricated. X account Twizo (@IAinGonCap) also echoed her statement with a tweet that read:

"This is cap. Miserable H*'s lying on this sista because she got men loving her for cooking Keep doing yo thang, these Hyena's gon hate you regardless."

Who is Cookinwithkya? Here's what we know

Cookinwithkya, legally known as Kya Renee, is famous on Instagram and TikTok for her unique cooking videos. In them, she dances as she shows off her homemade dishes to her viewers while chanting “Cooking with Kya.” She also occasionally shares dance and lip-sync videos.

She first caught the internet's eye in July last year, though her fame skyrocketed in December when she shared a breakfast clip. In it, she said:

“One, two, Kya’s coming for you. Wake up and make your man some breakfast before I do.”

She then sprayed whipped cream in her mouth as she danced and presented her food, all while chanting her catchphrase. The video raked in over 10 million views and stirred up controversy online. While some accused her of chasing clout, others suggested that she was putting down other women to further her fame.

However, dozens of women reportedly stood up for her, claiming that her trolls were simply jealous. Her video also inspired many TikToks using her audio, mostly from men who were seen sighing at their girlfriends and joking that they were on their way to Cookinwithkya.

She currently boasts 1.1 million followers on Instagram and 1.3 million on TikTok.
