Chris Brown is a multi-talented entertainer who has amassed a reported net worth of roughly $70 million. He debuted his music in 2005, and by 2023, Brown had leapfrogged Elvis Presley for the most RIAA Gold-certified singles by a male recording artist.

In the latest news involving Chris Brown, singer-songwriter Kevin McCall appeared on the Back On Figg podcast, where he opened up about his financial situation. He mentioned that he hasn’t heard from Brown in approximately 10 years, and that he had been going through trying financial times.

McCall also claimed he is still owed $25,000 from Brown for his writing contribution to 4 unnamed songs:

“KKKKK max, can I get 25, 000 for the 4 songs I owe you bro. I just wanna leave bro. I’m not even tripping though. I got an EBT card in my name like what the f**k. I can’t even get nothing bro.”

While the singer’s appearance on Back on Figg ended on a brighter note, it remains to be seen how this will play out for McCall. Chris Brown has yet to make a public statement regarding the situation.

Chris Brown called out by Kevin McCall, more

For Chris Brown, this seems to be symptomatic of his career, yet another story that will eventually go away, but also damage his brand as a collaborator. By now, Brown has seemingly not adjusted his behavior, but simply how he responds to the chaos in his orbit.

In a surprise move, rapper Young Thug caught Kevin McCall’s podcast appearance and followed up with a tweet of his own:

“Kevin McCall hit me my n**ga, I’ll give u the 25k u need, and i no CB would give it to u also bro he a real one. N**gas is busy sometimes brada.”

Thug managed to refrain from criticizing the Down singer, and even offered an olive branch on Brown’s behalf to McCall in a seemingly unprompted gesture of goodwill. As mentioned earlier, Chris Brown has yet to speak on McCall’s podcast appearance and comments, so for now his thoughts on the matter are unknown.

Chris Brown has currently just wrapped his Breezy Bowl XX tour, the twelfth of his career. The astounding achievement speaks to his resume and ability as an entertainer. The European leg of his tour ended in June in Paris, and he wrapped the American leg of the tour on October 16 in New Orleans.
