More about Alex vs ARod
Alex vs ARod follows the iconic career of basketball legend Alex Rodriguez, who rose to fame back in the early '90s after making his sports debut for the Seattle Mariners (1993 Major League Baseball). Alex was only 18 years old at that time, playing as a shortstop, and his massive evolution in seven years landed him a position in the Texas Rangers.
It was a contract that was considered quite controversial at that time. After achieving success with the Texas Rangers, Alex got a place in the New York Yankees while gracing the pitch alongside Derek Jeter. He found stardom in a very short time while turning out to be a public figure who often made it to front-page news.
But, in a shocking turn of events, in 2009 Alex Rodriguez was reportedly found to have been under the influence of a performance-enhancing substance (in the past) that brought some stains on his iconic career (he also won the first championship in the same year on behalf of the New York Yankees). Four years later, Alex faced a major PED suspension after a report found links of the star using illegal substances to enhance performance. He did return to the pitch following the scandalous incident with a vision to start afresh, but his iconic career was already over by then.
Alex vs ARod will also feature interviews with Alex Rodriguez's family and friends as they talk about the baseball icon's sinusoidal journey on the pitch. Hall of Famers and Alex's ex-MLB manager will also appear on the docuseries sharing their insights on his rather tumultuous career. Here's a list of the executive producers who have worked on the project:
