Bad Influencer taught us that no good deed (or fake handbag) goes unpunished. The South African dramedy’s first season wrapped with BK in jail, Flames pulling strings from a distance, and Leo’s innocence hanging by a thread.

Fans now wondering if BK will claw her way back, or is she doomed to stitch luxury knock-offs forever in the prison workshop? Let’s unpack five major questions Bad Influencer Season 2 must answer, shall we?

Questions Bad Influencer Season 2 needs to answer

1. Will BK break out of prison?

BK’s jail time was supposed to be her moment of reflection. But knowing Flames, that might just mean recruitment. The gangster still wants his 100 million rand, and BK’s talent for imitation might be too valuable to waste.

Maybe Bad Influencer Season 2 opens with a prison break. But it’s possible Flames will keep her where she is, and make her cell into a counterfeit command center.

2. Can BK protect Leo from Flames?

BK’s son Leo has been the heartbeat of Bad Influencer. This child on the spectrum grounds his mother with decency. But Flames now has a photo of Leo taped to BK’s cell wall as a reminder that love is leverage.

Season 2’s biggest gut punch might be about a mother realizing her crimes have put her child in permanent danger. Will she ever just be "Mom" again?

3. Is Themba on BK’s side or will he turn her in?

Detective Themba blurred every professional line imaginable in Bad Influencer Season 1. He helped BK, covered for her, and even risked his career to dismantle Flames’ empire. But the man will have some limits, after all.

If BK reenters the criminal world under Flames’ thumb, Themba will have to save the woman who made him compromise everything or lock her away for good. So in Season 2, one side could be fueled by guilt, the other by loyalty.

4. What’s next for Pinky and the crew?

Pinky, Lelz, Babi, and Dunia might have escaped jail, but their freedom is on borrowed time. BK’s decision to keep them "safe" may actually be counterproductive and put them on Flames’ radar again. And no one in Bad Influencer stays clean for long.

Could Pinky form her own influencer empire while BK is locked up? Or will she fall back into the counterfeit chaos when Flames calls in another favor? Whatever happens, Pinky deserves her own betrayal arc, no?

5. Will BK get redemption or be totally ruined?

At its heart, Bad Influencer is a moral car crash. BK started out as a desperate mom trying to secure a future for her neurodivergent son. Now she’s a pawn in a gangster’s multimillion-rand scheme.

Season 2 could decide whether she claws her way back to humanity or sinks even deeper into the flames (pun intended, duh). There’s something poetic about the idea that Leo might grow up to hate the woman who sacrificed everything for him.

Until Netflix or Showmax gives the green light, fans can replay that final scene. We need answers before BK finishes sewing her next fake Chanel!
