A quick recap of Boston Blue Episode 3

Boston Blue Episode 3 titled History saw Lena and Danny on an intense murder and dr*g investigation around Boston Harbour, which also reunited Lena with her former partner, Det. Brian Rogers. Brian had initially developed feelings for Lena but she had rejected his advances because of her strict policy about dating work partners.

However, since Brain and Lena were no longer active partners, he was still interested and asked her out on a date. While Lena was hesitant, she eventually agreed after sound advice from Danny.

Danny and Lena's intense dr*g investigation also ended on a positive note. They managed to nab Mitchell Edgars, the man responsible for his worker's murder and for pushing a killer dr*g onto the Boston streets. Mitchell was finally arrested and Boston was dr*g-free once again. In the final moments of Episode 3, Danny also got a pleasant surprise from Maria Baez, his girlfriend, who was in Boston for a romantic weekend with him.

The official synopsis for Rites of Passage reads as follows:

"The Silver family observes Yahrzeit to honor patriarch Ben Silver on the one-year anniversary of his death; Lena and Danny investigate the murder of a beloved shop owner; Sarah responds to a hostage crisis; Mae faces a difficult legal decision."

The upcoming episode will finally shed light on the Silver family lore as Lena's family will observe a Yahrzeit ceremony to honour their patriarch on his first death anniversary. It looks like Boston Blue is also expanding on the same family values that made Blue Bloods a beloved hit among the audience. While the Reagan family was at the heart of the flagship series' narrative, the Silver family will take the centre stage in the spin-off.

Additionally, the police procedural will also continue to expand on Danny and Lena's partnership as they will take on yet another harrowing case in the upcoming episode.

Tune in to Episode 4 on CBS on November 7.
