Netflix's recently premiered Physical: Asia Episode 1 introduced eight competing teams. There were a total of 48 contestants divided into teams from various countries.One of the teams was Team Mongolia. It featured Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan Bokh, Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu, Khandsuren Gantogtokh, Dulguun Enkhbat, Adiyasuren Amarsaikhan, and Lkhagva-ochir Erdene-Ochir.A traditional Mongolian wrestler, Orkhonbayar Bayarsaikhan Bokh, surprised everyone with his physique and traditional attire. In his introduction, Orkhonbayar revealed the meaning behind the five stripes on his attire:"Each of my stripes represents one of my accomplishments. In 2022, there was another tournament. It was a national competition for the President's Cup, and I ended up winning. Physically, structurally, they were huge. They were all physically strong. You could tell," said Team Korea's Kim Dong-hyun. Team Korea's Kim Dong-hyun noted that the one wearing the traditional attire was a Bokh wrestler. He was talking about Orkhonbayar.Physical: Asia star Orkhonbayar introduced himself while sharing about his sport and its historic significance:"I am Orkhonbayar. I am a Bokh wrestler and a national champion. As a form of folk wrestling, Bokh is very traditional. It has a very long history. It's said to have originated from ancient Mongolian warriors and their cultural practices. I've competed in the national Naadam festival five times. And every time I've competed, I've done really well and ranked really high."A participant from Team Japan noted that individuals who study Judo also go through cross-training with Bokh wrestlers. He went there to study Bokh:"I loved the physicality. She talked about grip and power to block opponents' movements.
