Station 42 has got a new chief in Fire Country Season 4, and things have been complicated since then. The firefighters are reeling with the loss of Vince, and Brett Richards's arrival and way of leading the team aren't working well with anyone.

Despite the pain and challenges, the firefighters ensured to carry out their duties, and after being accompanied by Brett in the recent rescue mission, it looks like the team is gradually understanding the new chief. However, things haven't changed much for Bode.

He has lost his father and was seen holding a pouch of pills (possibly drugs), which could increase his problems. The story will continue in episode 4 of Fire Country Season 4, confirmed to arrive on Friday, November 7, 2025 at 10 pm on CBS. For those who don't watch TV series using cable, you can enjoy the drama on Paramount+.

In the story so far, Vince's death remains a key element as it has been directly impacting how Bode and Sharon focus on their personal and professional lives.

Everyone is struggling to move on from Vince's death in episode 3 of Fire Country Season 4. The new Battalion Chief wastes no time in mentioning that Vince died because the team, especially Bode, broke the rules and didn't follow orders during the Zebel Ridge fire.

This makes him feel guilty and broken, and Bode then reaches out for the pills. However, he couldn't decide if he should use the drugs or maintain distance. During a tense ziplining rescue, Audrey battles flashbacks of losing Finn.

Thanks to Manny, who offers support and helps Audrey stay strong. Meanwhile, Bode’s anger boils over when a reckless man’s botched proposal sparks wildfires. Back home, Sharon begins to heal. With Renee’s return, she faces the pain of letting go and accidentally gives away Vince’s favorite jacket.

By the end of the episode, Bode learns that Vince has only left him the wedding ring, while the axe has been given to Jake. And to make it even more complicated, there's a mysterious note signed with an "R". This means buried secrets will soon come out.
