Episode 8, which is also Part 2 of High Potential Season 2 mid-season finale, will be available next year on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. The episode will exclusively air on the ABC Network at 10 p.m. Eastern Time and 7 p.m. Pacific Time. Viewers outside of the US can catch the episode at different times based on their time zones.

Apart from the premiere on Live TV, the episode will also be available for streaming on Hulu on January 7, 2026. What happened in High Potential Season 2 Episode 7?

In the mid-season finale of High Potential Season 2, Morgan was informed by a paranoid Arthur about people coming to look for Roman's backpack, but she tells him that she hasn't yet found any clues or important information from it. However, she, Adam, and Selena still investigate the contents of the backpack.

Later, they are given a case of an art heist by Wagner. Morgan and Adam go to the museum and learn that a Rembrandt painting worth $20 million had been stolen, and the thief entered from the roof. However, Morgan notices that the thief landed away from the stolen painting and skipped several expensive paintings to steal the one, leaving her to think that it was not about money.

However, Rhys Easton, the art recovery consultant hired by the cops, thinks otherwise. He presses on it, being about money, which leads to an argument with Morgan. Further investigation revealed that around 20 art heists have taken place using the same MO. They also found out about Ari Wiseman, who claimed the painting was his.

After learning about Ari's grandmother's story of her father buying the painting in 1932, Morgan thinks Ari might be the one who stole the painting. However, near the end of the episode, Morgan notices a gunshot wound on Rhys's shoulder, at the same place where Jean-Baptiste, a thief who tried to steal a Picasso five years ago, was shot.

Furthermore, among all the items in Roman's backpack, they found a photograph of a man that the team couldn't identify. The same man appeared in Roman's car at the end of the episode and asked him about the backpack.

The mid-season premiere will pick up from here and showcase the team solving the art heist case, and also learn more about the mysterious man looking for Roman's backpack.
