Hazbin Hotel has made it to the latest hit animated TV series, and its creator recently shed light on why a live-action doesn't make sense.
The unique plot follows the characters living in Hell, with the main focus on Charlie who happens to be the princess of the dark place.
What makes Charlie different is her dream to help demons and sinners change for the better and qualify for Heaven and leave Hell. Why? Because every year, Heaven sends angels to kill off demons in Hell to control the huge population.
Charlie wants to prove that this process is more evil than the sinners and that they can become good if given a second chance. So, she opens a hotel where demons can learn to transform.
The animated show has become quite popular, and many fans even think about a live-action version. However, creator Vivienne Medrano doesn’t really support adapting something into live-action unless there’s a good reason behind it. She said:
"I think for sure that Hazbin Hotel as a series only works in animation. I’m not the biggest fan of taking something into live-action unless there’s a reason to."
According to Medrano, the visuals, the setting, and the characters perfectly fit in the animation. It would be incredibly difficult to bring the same colorful and imaginative place in a live-action.
Hazbin Hotel creator shares her view on adapting the series into a live-action version

Fans often love it when their favorite animated TV series is adapted into a live-action version. It not only excites the long-time enthusiasts but also attracts new viewers. However, when it comes to Hazbin Hotel, the show is new and the creator currently doesn't have a plan for a live-action series.
In the same interview with Comicbook, Vivienne Medrano said:
"What I could see and what I would love to see is a stage adaptation. I think a stage musical set in this universe or about these characters would be the coolest thing, especially since it could be its own thing."
Medrano continued:
"A play could humanize these characters in ways that make sense visually, but also just have the element of musical theater, since that’s what the show is..."
Medrano isn’t completely against exploring other formats. Instead of live-action, she said she would love to see a stage musical version of Hazbin Hotel. She believes that turning the show into a theater performance could work beautifully because the series already has a strong musical element.
The creator believes that audiences are more open to stepping into a "fantasy" world through stage plays or musicals. Since theaters often blend reality and imagination, such type of musical can grab attention.

Will there be more Seasons of Hazbin Hotel?

Yes! Hazbin Hotel will surely continue after Season 2, as this confirmation came straight from the creator at the San Diego Comic-Con. Seasons 3 and 4 are currently in production, so fans can look forward to even more episodes exploring Charlie’s mission, the politics of Heaven and Hell, and challenges she faces while helping the sinners become good people.
Season 2 of the animated series continues after Charlie won against the army of Heaven. Due to this, her hotel has become incredibly popular, and now she has many residents who want to enroll in the redemption project.
But this only looks easy from the outside. Charlie has to face a lot of setbacks while carrying out this mission, but the challenges can never stop her. The biggest issue is that many residents have come to the hotel for their own benefit instead of changing themselves for good.
Charlie has identified that many sinners are at the Hazbin Hotel for selfish reasons. This pushes her to think whether she will be able to control this chaos and make her dream come true.
