The latest episode of the CBS show featured castaways into two Tribes: Hina and Kele.

  • Hina Tribe: Sophi, Rizo, Jawan, Nate, Savanah, Matt, and Jason,
  • Kele Tribe: Alex, Steven, Christina, MC, Sophie, Shannon, and Sage.

After Kele Tribe won the immunity challenge, Hina Tribe members were sent to face the Tribal Council. It was their first time facing the council. Survivor host, Jeff Probst, told the castaways to grab their torches and light them up.

He told them that the fire represented their life there. If the fire were gone, it would mean they were also gone from the competition. Soon, Jeff asked Nate about the Immunity Challenge and his comments about Matt, Jason, and Sophi being in danger.

"At the end of the challenge, is that reasonable for Matt, Jason, and Sophi, to be concerned, and you were pretty honest, and you said yeah, we have the numbers right now," asked the show host.

Survivor star Nate discussed how he and Jason found themselves in danger, partly because several of their fellow castaways were closer to Sophi. Later, Sophi opened up about getting empathy from her new tribemates after the tribe swap.

Jeff then asked Matt about the time when he reached the beach during the tribe swap. He asked if Matt immediately felt "game on" or if he needed to figure something out.

"Yeah, it absolutely was. And my approach was to sell why they should keep me over Jason or Sophi. But at the time I was making my case, had no idea that Sophi had been taken in. So that is news to me," said Matt.

Later, when Survivor’s Jason was asked about being in danger alongside Matt, he said they were both “holding on for dear life.” He mentioned that while the rest of the castaways maintained their alliances after the tribe swap, he and Matt were simply struggling to survive.

Further in the episode, castaways voted. While voting, Nate confessed to the cameras that he was voting off Matt because he had said his name multiple times.

"He's a good guy, but he said my name multiple times. So, go kick rocks, bro," said Nate.

Show host Jeff Probst revealed 4 votes against Matt, 2 votes against Jason, and one against Nate. As a result, Matt was sent home.
