Tulsa King Season 3 Episode 6 sent shockwaves among fans with the death of Armand Truisi, played by Max Casella. In a world full of violence and gang wars, Armand decided to take his own life and hung himself in a motel.

The character had one of the most interesting storylines in the crime drama. He went from being a Dwight loyalist to betraying him, and then to having a redemption arc during the course of the first two seasons.

However, Armand remained missing from the very beginning of the third season, and fans were concerned about his fate until Episode 6 confirmed that he died by suicide. Audiences are now wondering why Max Casella left Tulsa King abruptly. As per a social media comment by the actor, it seems like he was written off the show by writers due to a creative decision.

Ever since Armand went missing in action from Tulsa King, fans have flooded actor Max Casella’s social media with questions about his character’s fate. On one of his Instagram posts, a fan asked if he is ever coming back to the Paramount+ series, to which he replied, ‘No.’ When another fan asked why he is not in the third season, Casella replied that it is because the creators killed Armand. Going by Casella’s comments, it does seem like Armand was written off the story by the creators, and it was not actually the actor’s choice to leave the show. Fans are now going to miss Armand as he is counted among the most layered characters on the series.

Armand first appeared in Tulsa King in Season 1 as a quiet ranch worker living a simple life in the town. However, he was terrified when Dwight was released from prison after 25 years and sent to Tulsa by the Invernizzi crime family. He had once worked for the same family and had betrayed them, so he believed Dwight was sent to kill him.

Armand tried to shoot Dwight out of fear during his driving test, but Dwight survived the attack. Dwight later confronted Armand, who admitted he had acted out of panic. But instead of killing him, Dwight spared his life and demanded a cut of Armand’s earnings each month. This marked the beginning of their partnership.

Over time, Armand became part of Dwight’s growing Tulsa crew and defended him against rivals like the Black Macadam biker gang. However, in Season 2, he faced a financial crunch and ultimately sold information about Dwight to Cal Thresher in exchange for a monetary reward.

But he later redeemed himself by helping Dwight defeat Ming. He also returned Dwight’s stolen money. In Season 3 Episode 6, he sadly died off-screen and was seen hanging by a motel roof, which marked the end of his journey.

Tulsa King Season 3 airs new episodes on Paramount+ on Sundays.
