Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

What happened on The Young and the Restless

Cane (Billy Flynn) needs a comeback. We gotta give the guy credit for coming to Jack (Peter Bergman) and Diane's (Daytime Emmy-winner Susan Walters) with his hat in his hand to let them know that Jabot was in danger, as his AI (Artificial Intelligence) software has been stolen (he suspects by Phyllis, played by Michelle Stafford). Presumably, reports could come in saying business was fine when it's not and vice versa, if the descriptions of the software are to be believed. Jack and Diane read Cane the riot act, deservedly so. Diane recapped Cane spending millions on developing the AI software, and then getting the power players in Genoa City to quake after dropping hints of using the software against them. "You show up at our door and say, 'Oops! It's gone," Diane marveled. Jack angrily dismissed Cane's description of the threat as not being imminent. Can Jack and Diane be blamed for not offering the guy a seat and some coffee? First, Cane lured the business elite from The Young and the Restless to his chateau in France and exposed them to his unbalanced, murderous henchman, Carter (Vincent Stalba). Now, he's had his potentially life-changing software stolen, leaving many vulnerable. "Which leaves you with even more blood on your hands -- metaphorically speaking," quipped Diane, a clear reminder that Cane's "it's not my fault/I didn't mean for this to happen" attitude may be all well and good, but not when people die. Like Chance (Conner Floyd). And Damian (Jermaine Rivers). And even Carter.
